Editorial Review
This is the Roomba 105 Vac with the one addition that changes day-to-day ownership the most: an AutoEmpty Dock. iRobot rates it for up to 75 days between manual bag changes, and the bag itself is built to trap 99% of allergens down to 0.7 microns — a real consideration for allergy-sensitive households.
Everything else carries over from the base 105 Vac: ClearView LiDAR mapping, the 3-Stage Cleaning System, and no mopping. iRobot's suction claim remains relative ("70X" versus its own older 600-series) rather than an absolute Pa figure.
For buyers who've decided vacuum-only is enough and just want to skip manual dust-bin trips, this is the more sensible of the two 105 Vac configurations.
Pros
- 75-day AutoEmpty dock traps 99% of allergens down to 0.7 microns
- Same reliable ClearView LiDAR mapping as the base 105 Vac
- Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant support
- 4 selectable suction levels in-app
Cons
- No mopping
- No published Pa suction figure or per-charge runtime
- Basic, non-camera obstacle avoidance
Best for: Allergy-conscious households that want a self-emptying, vacuum-only Roomba without mopping hardware.
Who should skip it: Anyone who also wants mopping — see the Roomba 105 Combo or 415 Combo.
