Editorial Review

The PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro is where Shark's combo lineup gets genuinely hands-off: the base doesn't just empty the dustbin, it also refills the mop's water tank and runs the pads through a wash-and-dry cycle after every session. For a household that mops floors every day, that removes nearly all of the manual upkeep a mopping robot usually demands.

The five PowerDetect sensors are the other headline feature — DirtDetect boosts power over visibly dirty patches, Floor Detect adjusts behavior by surface, and the Wet/Dry Edge Detect pair pushes cleaning further into corners than most robots manage. NeverStuck technology, which physically lifts the chassis over thresholds and obstacles, is a meaningful upgrade over the LiDAR-only avoidance in Shark's cheaper AI Ultra models.

Shark doesn't publish a Pa suction figure for this model, which makes it hard to place next to the Roborock/Dreame/Ecovacs numbers directly — buyers who prioritize a specific suction spec should weigh that gap.

Pros

  • Base washes AND dries mop pads automatically
  • Self-refills water tank for up to 30 days
  • NeverStuck tech physically climbs over obstacles/thresholds
  • Five-sensor PowerDetect system adapts to floor and dirt level

Cons

  • Shark does not publish an exact Pa suction figure
  • Heaviest base in Shark's lineup at nearly 25 lbs
  • No confirmed multi-floor map count

Best for: Households that mop daily and want to never touch a dirty mop pad or refill a water tank by hand.

Who should skip it: Buyers who want a directly comparable Pa suction number against Roborock/Dreame/Ecovacs models.
